Andi “Spartacus” Whitfield, Dies at 39

Actor Andy Whitfield, 39, star of the series “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” has died of lymphoma, a form of cancer.
Andy Whitfield was born in Amlwch, Wales (United Kingdom) in 1972. He began to make his first jobs in the media in Australia where he moved in 1999 after marrying Vashti with whom he had two children.
Before becoming an actor, Andy worked as an engineer. After spending the communication world, participated in Australian series such as “Opening Up”, “The Strip” and “All Saints”.

The Last Months of Life and Death
Andy could not overcome the cancer as well as the battles of the series Spartacus. After several months of treatment, the English actor died on September 11, 2011 in Sydney (Australia), at the age of 39.
His wife, Vashti, reports that her husband died as “a beautiful young warrior” and as Australian newspapers say, Andy left this world “on a sunny morning in Sydney in the arms of his beloved wife.”
His replacement in the series “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” will be his friend Liam McIntyre, who accompanied Andy during their participation in this series.
